2004 gtx 4 tec won't start
Have a 2004 gtx 4 tec that has been sitting for 3 years. Put a new battery in. Clicks but will not start. How can I tell if engine is locked up or starter is bad? If locked up, how can I free it?

Its probably got a bad starter relay.
The relay is connected to your battery leads.
Pull back the rubber caps on it and jump the relay with a wrench or plyers.
If it spins over then pump the old gas and replace the relay and she should start.
If you jump the relay and it doesn't spin over the try tapping the starter with something metal while trying to crank it.
I haven't heard of a 4 tec locking up from just sitting..
