    Installed GPS on 750 SS!!

I just installed my Etrex Legend on my Kawasaki 750 SS. I used a Garmin Marine mount and screwed it to ski after i drilled 3 small holes. The Garmin Marine Mount comes with a special backing cover that is very secure. it also is fully adjustable and pivots every way. I will be attaching a lanyard to the steering column under seat just in case the gps unit comes off i wont lose it. But i dont think this will happen. Here is a few pics of my install. tell me what you think??Click image for larger version.

OK. But I don't think I'd have the balls to turn it on.

I have the same GPS, never would have thought to mount it there .... I think will be hard read & see. Also, not to mention rough on the family jewles Ha Ha. I monted very easy & nicely out in front just above I MF display guage. (on Yam GP 1300). Good luck and let us know how satified you are after you have had a chance to ride & see it working in action.

Yeh The only problem with my ski is the space and there really wasnt anywhere else to mount it. Plus i dont see me hitting it with those lol!! I dont need to be looking at it all the time just when i feel like it for speed and maybe how to get back to dock lol

I thought the same thing, but then it came to mind how many times I wished I had a proper GPS for map/location on Lake Powell before I bought one - really, most of the world uses GPS for navigation....

getting lost on lake powell is not fun at all.. especially when night is falling fast

heck getting turned on lan around where I duck hunt ain't much fun either come to think of it.

I always like to know where the camp is relative to where I'm shooting and the truck too!
