    riva/athena yes or no

I currently have a 2012 rxtx as260 that is bone stock with 49hours and was wondering whats gonna happen if I go with the athena ecu and a [email protected] scoop grate. Is it worth the money and am i gonna be 1000000 percent reliable. I do alot of riding around the city(ny manhattan) and dont ever want to run into any kind of trouble. I am looking for a 5mph gain and do not want to change the prop. Is this the way to go? I do not want to change the supercharger and add the air intake. Will the athena be the way to go or am i just throwing away 1600 bucks for it. I am currently at about 8000 rpms. Will that e c u put me at 8350 rpm and will I see a difference up on top. I just want to plug it in and go..

Whats gonna happen as soon as I plug it in..Am I gonna be happy??

you need to look at a vtech flash for your stock ecu

5 more MPH and 1000000 percent reliable will never happen. You need to pull more RPM producing more boost to get more MPH. Not to mention the stock Seadoo setup is not 1000000 percent reliable. 260 HP out of a 1500 cc motor is not the formula for reliable.

With this in mind, I would go the CMD direction. Add about 10% fuel from about 4200 RPM up. Forget the added 5 MPH request and take home the piece of mind that you have a reasonable AFRs and great midrange acceleration. The MPH chase thing is as addictive as cocaine and reliability is simply not in the cards.

I bet will have a really close base map a few days after I get past the 5 hour mark on my ski. My ski may be the only one on the planet that was broken in on day one with a CMD.

    How true!

I would Vtech flash to 8350. It's a safe tune for stock motor and should put you about where you want to be without other mods/bolt ons.

p.s. completely stock skis have problems sometime.

If you're not handy with tools and working on your ski, BEFORE you do anything.....go see Erik, aka SpeedFreeks Racing. He's in Brooklyn.
