I stay with the nylon it flexes/gives there's a reason why watercrafts have stay with the nylon pump shoes and for the most part work pretty darn well until we push them to there limits

When there is no weak/flexible spot a catastrophic event will occur. Same reason the wear ring is plastic.

reason i ask is because of breaking shafts with a pump extension. Many of us run SS wear rings with no problems

this is what i call catastrophic failure because of a flexing pump shoe IMO

more like excess power and or a faulty drive shaft.

3 1. excess power, 2. shitty driveshaft material, 3. motor needs to be 100% aligned. if its the driveshaft material lacey motorsports has the solution for it.

was running a 3 rude, the shaft was a quality piece (i have seen other shafts even superior to mine snap in the same place) and the motor was aligned. the way i look at it the "plastic" pump shoe deflects under power causing the shaft to be put in a bind. it wasn't the drive shafts fault. the problem IS the pump shoe. does lacey use a pump extension? i loved the hookup and feel of the extension but too much risk where i ride to be left stranded. please more info on lacey shafy

The problems with the extended driveshafts here have been well documented and have nothing to do with the pump shoe. Why do you think Riva quit carrying them?
