    new 300X speedo not working

I just bought a new 300X, has 2 hours on it and this my first jet ski. I was at the beach this weekend and it got in the sand but i pulled it out in the deep water before starting but now the speedo just reads "0". I'm guessing the sand is the cause, just a guess though. Anybody have any advice or experience with something like this before i haul it back to the dealership. Thanks

Clean the paddle wheel on the ride plate. Make sure it spins freely

Yep, get the hose spraying on to it when you get home. You must have quite a bit of sand in there. Spray around until the wheel moves freely as above.

That took care of the problem. it would spin easily before but i hit it with the hose a few times for good measure and problem solved. I happened to come across a new 2011 at a dealer and got a great deal on it considering it had 0 hours and came with the factory warranty still.

Good luck with your new ski, and stay away from sand
