Ram-mount for GPS install for the Ultra250

I can't find anywhere on this top deck to mount a GPS, other than velcroing it to some obscure location or on top of the glovebox lid...which you have to get in/out of all the time.

Out of desperation, I mounted it to the inner/upper side panel, using a Ram-mount universal, and a tourtech GPS mount.

It is a Garmin 3/3+/5 series mount.

    • Remove the side panel.
    • Pilot your holes for the ram-mount.
    • Either find a way to handle the bolts from inside the double walled panel, or cut a couple of access holes on the outside of the panel.
    • I used M5 bolts and nylocks with some fender washers to secure the ram mount to the panel.
    • Re-assemble, and adjust the ram mount so that the adjustable steering can't hit the mount.
I didn't run power at this time. The gps stores nicely in the bottom of the glovebox for travelling.

Why not gut one of those mirrors and mount it in the shell?

Where does the other half of the GPS go along with the antenna mount.

You should paint that ski. Or at least update it.

It won't fit on the ultra either. I needed something to fit without gutting mirrors, and drilling 2" holes.

Can't paint it. He (jeff) had it painted & autographed it. I wish it was the new scheme though

No holes need drilled, no mirrors need be taken out.....No limp wrists either.
