Buy New or Slightly Used 12-13 RXP-X?

Q1: It looks like dealers are asking about $14,699 for brand new RXP-X 260s. What is the absolute cheapest you can get one, paying cash, from a Sea-Doo dealer? Any wiggle room at all?

Q2: I hear people talk about the "Sea Doo 4 Year transferable warranty". How much is this additionally when you purchase new? Is it worth it?

Q3: I see people asking $13,000 to $13,500 for used '12s and '13s with below 20 hours. In fact, I have located a '13 with 6 hours, a trailer, and the 4 year warranty for $13,500. What is a fair price for a combo such as this? And, for another $1,000 to $2,000, wouldn't I just be better off buying a brand new one?

Q4: I saw somewhere on here where a guy was talking about your maximum speed being "captured" if "you have the X package" on your RXP-X 260. Is there an additional package to these called the "X package" or do they all pretty much come standard with everything?

Thanks in advance to answers to all questions, I've previously owned a 2004 RXP but I've been away from the hobby a few years and need some guidance before jumping back in this summer.

That 13 with trailer and extended warranty for 13500 doesn't sound bad at all. Usually a new one with trailer tax and fees is a little over 17

I can sell you a brand new 2013 for 13500, if I remember correctly and there is no sales tax since your out of state. If you hurry, I can also give you 3 additional years of BEST for free. Only thing you add to the price is a trailer if needed.

You mentioned used. I wouldn't buy a used one without the warranty. Saw a few used in Jax. for 10.5k and 2 at 11.5 with only one having a warranty. They were 2012 skis. I was on the hunt for a new ski, started seeing intercooler issues and decided against them. With the addition of the IC line will see. There is a dealer here that was going to do a 2012 for 13.2k cash out the door, but that included taxes and tag with no trailer.

Seriously? My local dealer is quoting me $15,500 OTD with no prep, no trailer. I think he's giving the ski for $14,000 and then Texas TTL is bringing it up to $15,500. Sounds very high to me.
