77.0 mph rotax racing 1.5 RXP at Formula One Marina in NY!!!
Well after all the problems we had trying to get this RXP up to speed, we finally hit it!!! We installed a rotax racing intercooler, ppg power pipe and plumbing kit (NO BLOW OFF VALVE!!!!!), Rotax racing heavy duty clutch, vortech supercharger impeller, Riva stage 1 kit with ppg magic pitched 14/19 prop, and Marks new rotax racing ecu. For the entire summer we were stuck at 72mph on the stock ecu. We ordered a rotax racing ecu and and saw our rpms go from 8100 to 7600. Next we finally ordered Marks new ecu. This is the key folks. This ecu has an incredible powercurve at all rpms. The acceleration is absolutely insane. It is instant 8400 rpms.
This speed was found using a peak speed on a gps. Was it a spike in the gps? Could definitaely be. The numbers were attained on an 80 degree day in New York in the begining of september. I had similar readings such as 75.7 and 76.3 before i saw the 77.0 on the screen. This new ecu is definitely the way to go and i suggest that those of you who have the first generation rr ecu check with mark and see how to get it reflashed with the new software. THIS MACHINE IS AN ANIMAL. I dont think there is a faster ski on long island.

Thats awsome Jay. Im glad the new ECU fixed your problems.
Mark is supposed to be putting up a post about getting our ECU's reflashed to the latest version. The latest version has a more aggressive timing/fuel curve and is said to produce 10 more horsepower than that of the older program.
If we gather a bunch of them up at one time to be shipped to Austria it will cost us less. I'll let Mark chime in and give us the details.

About this ecu can that be your first mod. Or does there need to be someother parts to support it.
Pretty new to all the hight tech modsyou guys deal with.

No, you have to have other mods as well. At a minimum you will need a better air intake and a intercooler.

sorry for the delay....just got moved in to the new shop and just now got internet...dial up . i need a head count of those that would like to do the reflash upgrade on their RR ecu. once i have a count i will try to get a bulk deal from rotax. i will offer the reflash at my cost. i am not looking to make any money on this but i don't want to lose any either. as of now the reflash price costs me just under $300 us. i will try to get that down with a bulk purchase.
so who's in?
