    Rude Charger Almost Final Tuning

Went out today after Brian repitched my prop (1.5mm added pitch to the 15/19R).
    Outside temp 84 degrees
    Lake 79 degrees

Last test 2 weeks ago was at 55 degrees and 58 lake temp.

Today I was turning 8450rpm with 81mm ring and managed a 81.4mph but i found out that my catch can was full of oil/gas. I check the oil level and it was 1/4 of an inch after the full line.(Way too full) I like to have it in the middle. That is probably the cause the 50-100 rpm loss and full catch can. Any suggestion?

Getting close to the 82mph mark in the heat!!!

i don't think u'll lose r's with a catch can the excess oil goes 2 the catch can not in the intake being 2 full it'll blow out more oil but wont hurt r's
the warmer it gets the more r's u'll lose u might haft 2 add a little pitch back 2 the prop when summer gets here or go 2 the 82mm ring

Could gas be getting forced by the rings into the oil???

This is the second time I've heard of this on the Rude charger.

Hector, try removing 1/2 of a quart of oil and then run the boat. Ideally you want the oil level to be no more than half way between the two notches on the dip stick.

Let me know how it goes...
