    2010 Seadoo RXT 260 Mods

    Just bought this ski and am looking for some mods that cost under $500 that i can do that will raise the top speed and acceleration on this ski. Let me know what you or others have did and the effect this has had.

    SCOM....That's about all you'll get for 500 bucks. Gets rid of the speed limiter from factory. You can fill all your ride plate holes & get an intake grate as well.

    The SCOM in my opinion is an absolute waste of money and a expensive paper weight! There is only ONE thing that it does and about 4 things it does NOT do! Do a search - guys are tired of me bitching about this device.

    1. install 1-2 bilge pumps - no speed or acceleration but may save your ski someday
    2. 4" air intake - stock is very restrictive
    3. R&D or WORX grate
    3. Solas 15/20

    When you have done 1-3, you will be ready for the next level.

    He is correct. But for $500, I would save my coin and do the steps below & get a v-tech flash. However, you will need around $1500 bucks to accomplish this. But there is better value in doing that.

    You can never really put a limit on what your going to spend as it never really ends with 500$ or whatever else number you set your budget to.
    Start on those 3 mods listed above and from there the possibilities are truly endless

    Borrow some ones Maptuner and get a V tech reflash $600 ...

    I don't think there is anyone around me with a tuner. Is there anyway I can borrow someone's? Also if someone has already bought the vetch refashioned on the tuner would I be able to use this rue flash as well? Do dealerships have the ability to do these reflashes?

    With the 3 mods above what increase can be expected?

    Nothing really happens until u do a reflash ...

    The newer Bosch ECU holds back any gain ....

    Better hole shot, acceleration, and throttle response over stock! You are setting yourself up smartly for future mods, if desired.

    You will live with the stock ECU limits: 8040 rpm, boost, torque, and 68 mph. An ECU re-flash or ECU replacement such as MOTEC is your only option to defeat these limits.
