I ran the 8350 beta tune from Vtech for at least 50 hours last summer on the stock valvetrain with no issues. Recently had Eastside Powersports upgrade my valvetrain with the RIVA kit and will be running the 8650 tune shortly.

I plan to run 8650 with stock valves, upgraded springs/retainers.

03 valves are not good, the exhaust are known to brake
what year are you asking about
I would not rev any past 8300 with out some upgrades

im doing the valvetrain upgrade on the gtx same valves as the 04-05 215hp they looked flawless when i rebuilt the motor. sure wish i would have did the valves then but didnt, so who has been running 04-05 valves at 8500-8600 any problems ?

Any valves from 06 and older are weaker than 07 and newer.
I would run 08 and newer valves to be safe.
Pay a little now or a lot after they go boom...

shouldn't even cross your mind, old valves out new ones in, and do the retainers no matter what revs above stock,
