    Seadoo rebuild kit (Part# 881 151)

    Ski: 2004 GTX 4-Tec S/C

Part #: Seadoo 881 151 (SC Rebuild Kit)

I've read that this kit is good for 200 hours. What's the general consensus?

Thanks. Out of curiosity, wasn't the preceding part number (881 150) the "100 hour" kit and this one considered the "200 hour" kit? Again, this is what I have seen mentioned here and there but I'd like to hear from those who can give me an accurate explanation.

+1 with Adam. Jerry confirmed that the bearings are the same. The average joe might get away with 200 hrs. A modded ski, would not risk it. 100hrs change it up. Small price to pay to keep it running tip top.

if jerry has confirmed its the same washers as the 100 hour kit... i would listen..

as stated above and in previous threads.. a couple hundred bucks every 100 hours or so... or 3 grand for a new motor when the supercharger blows up at 130 hours..

The clutches are one issue as are the bearings...these little bearings spin between 40,000 and 60,000 RPM depending on how high you spin your motor...Thats alot of RPMs for them little bearings..after some time they get weak and come apart, thus destroying everything in thier path...Although the clutches have become better and seem to last longer,i still recommend a rebuild at 100 hours..anything after that could become an issue..also when installing the bearings you have to be careful as if they are installed wrong that could shorten the life of that bearing/Scer also..
