    400 Hours/26 months - 2010 FX SHO Original Clutch, Never a Repair

Not sure if this is a milestone or not but I thought I'd throw it out there as a testament to the reliability of these skis. 400 hours of very hard riding mostly in the Gulf of Mexico but also all over the state of Florida from the St. Johns to the Suwanee River and down to the Everglades. About to make the jump to Grand Bahama island from Boynton Beach. Will easily be 500 by the end of July.

Good report! -- but I'm not surprised.
If it's like our FZ's, you've had to do very little maintenance as well.

Cool, pic. Nice! Yeah, you certainly ride a lot! Wish I could be on the water that much. Congrats! What oil are you running and how often do you change the oil?

That is a bunch of hours. How do you find so much time to ride?

Gus...I use a Valvoline ATV motor oil that meets Yamaha's specs and a NAPA oil filter that is the same as the OEM.

I get to ride a lot because my job allows me to do what I want as long as I meet my objectives. Plus I live on the water and include my wife with me whenever I can. In fact, I just bought her a RXP-X. We ride with a lot of people and once in awhile someone is generous enough to lend her one of their two skis (when their wife doesn't want to go) and she fell in love with the P-X.

But the '10 FX is my baby and still runs like new.

That is good to know, and I too am not the least bit surprised. Yamaha is certainly the "gold standard" for PWC reliability; stories like this and Yamaha's Market Share in the PWC industry are proof positive of this fact. JB

I'll second that. Vince, I'm definitely jealous. Makes me want to pack up the trailer and move south.
