    Piston showing signs of deto, has that motor ever dropped a valve?? Maybe it was weakened and has gone now, I doubt that is anything to do with cooling right at the top. Open loop would if anything pinch the skirt, normally on oil press sensor side of piston. cant tell from pic where and what pot that is..

    Broken rocker would not do that IMO, much lower pressures on that stroke then when the mix is ignited.

    If I had to say from looking at the picture you have had very high cyl pressures due to deto, mix that with weak sleeves, are those pistons over size??

    I'm no expert but water ingestion. Water does not compress to well.

    Im running open loop with cp first over pistons. No water ingestion and valves are all in good shape. Motor has like 15 hours on it.

    So it's already been bored, did it blow up before the rebuild? Maybe it was weak in that spot, what kind of boost are you running?
