    Sea Doo RXT 260 owners

What kind of gas mileage are you getting when you just go for a cruise/trip, what kind of speed are you driving to get that mileage and was it done using Eco mode?

I've got 6 hours on my new RXT 260 so I'll be interested to see responses to this thread.

I did a 100 mile trip and estimate that I used about 21 gallons. That was on flat water with a mix of touring/eco/sport modes with wide variances in speed (I'm still in the break in period).

I've logged trips for about a year on my RXT 2009 which was marketed at 255hp, next year it was 260hp without any changes i.e. it should be identical.
For touring average with speeds 35-45mph you get about about 5.1 mpg (average 5.1 - 5.3 over ~combined 600 miles). With speeds 45-60 about 4.8 mpg. There is no touring/eco mode on this ski but savings won't be much more as they only limit acceleration from what I've seen.
Seems that dave got about the same in the reply above.
For trip planning assume 5 mpg.

Thanks for the replies. I had seen one other person post a couple months ago that he got 5.5, so I was curious.

My answer is not as detailed, but I rode from the Sandpoint Park in Maryland along the Chesapeake Bay down to the Patomic and into the Lincon Memorial area on my 2010 RXT-X and just going there used about 4 tanks of gas, thats including the initial. There and back is about 400 miles and just on the way down used 4 tanks. Our average speed was about 35-45 range. Made the trip with the Pa RiverRunners. Have made the trips 3 times, twice on a FX-SHO CRuise and once on the RXT-X 260.
