    MSX Stator and Impeller Spacer

1.) Here is my stator. Do I need to trim/smooth out the vanes or anything like that?
2.) Here is the impeller spacer. I can get original #5010295 cheap, but Polaris has a supersede on the spacer to #5134505. Anybody know what the supersede is about?

Well then, I guess I will just touch up the edges of the vanes. On the impeller spacer, after looking at my grooved original and looking at the current description, it is now a stainlees spacer.

yeah... I don't know about the impeller spacer revised parts... but what's wrong with yours? It just keeps the two bearings properly spaced... so I'm unsure what could go wrong with it?

As for stator vanes... yeah... I've run worse. Just touch them up... they don't need to be knife edge sharp or anything.

    Cheers!

THats the collar that the seals ride in that he is referring to. You can try doing a little wet sanding on it to see if the wear goes away. Sometimes you can just flip it around the other way to have the seals riding on a fresh surface.

The spacer is grooved pretty bad from the seal lips. It is different end to end, so I just ordered up a new one. I'll hit the vane edges with my dremel to clean them up.

Ah... *that* spacer... gotcha. Yeah... I can see that one getting worn. Let us know about the new one when you get it.

    Cheers!
