take it for a ride and then look in the back of the hull. I find a lot of tools in customer skis

If you have skinny arms, you can get under the motor from between the engine and the fluse block. standing on the starboard side of the ski

If it is on the trailer, tilt it back and hopefully it will roll far enough back to reach or use a magnet on a string.

Tilt it back and use the garden hose to flush it to the back.

It is on trailer but there is one more ski on it

I can't reach it with hands. It sounded like there is "V" in the hull under the engine and the tool is there. The tool is 6" extender with bit on it /I was installing battery/.

If I use water from hose to flush it back is there a risk to damage something. It is too havy for compressed air.

    Thanks

Just go to the parts store and get yourself a magnet. If you are going to be working on skis you will need it again!

Exactly get an extendable magnet grabber and a mirror on a stick doesn't hurt either.

I've always taken a chunk of used garden hose, reaching down the exhaust manifold side, it can curl under the motor...just whip it back and forth, it will pop out either end of the motor...
