    what happend never ran but now need new cylinders

    so im not an expert on 2 strokes, helping a freind out on getting this 951 motor together and new pistons rings fun stuff, the cylinders our new (new to the boat, but used) put motor together turn it over by hand and do a compersion check on the bench came to 115psi and 120 in the other, drop in boat turns over wont start get to start off starter fluid to help prime fuel system since new lines pulled. ran for a lil and shut it down to check pump and other lil things. come back next day wont fire do a compression 30psi then 120psi look at pics cant figure what happened rings didnt move something come up from the crank? guess im in the market for new cylinders and a piston....

    You dropped a needle bearing when you pulled it apart down in the crankcase

    makes since... so i guess ill have to pull it apart and find this 1 or how ever needle bearings are missing...
    can these cylinders be bored any?

    Seadoo wants everyone to buy their rubber crankcase rubber mat, to sheild the crank. I don't even trust it. I put rags under the mat even. Stupid needle bearings goe everywhere when pulling the piston pins.

    not like that is a trade secret that only .factory. Techs find out about.

    that.s why I don.t do top ends in the ski.

    I always place rags in the case and a small bowl under the piston as I pull out the pin. Then ALWAYS count the needles before re-assembly. I actually prefer the cageless as they will stand up to a higher load and more abuse.

    ProMarine has caged bearings and are very reasonable

    I used caged WSM bearings when I recently redid a top end for a friend's 787.
