Tow rope and tie down weight.

What is the maximum tow weight for a tube on a yamaha vxr. Would it pull a three person tube fine.

Legally in most states you would only be able to tow one rider.

2 with mirrors/no spotter in those states but MN law doesn't say anything about having capacity for each person towed thankfully.

I'd think you'll be fine power wise pulling a 3 person tube.

I don't know the laws there but here we're governed by craft capacity but it's not often that you ever see it enforced. I usually ride a busy lake where the warden (s) are out on the lake with everyone and you see people breaking the capacity rules all the time. It's probably less common to see someone actually following the law here. I think as long as you're doing so within reason then you'll be ok.

As far as power is concerned you'll be fine.

I figured power wise it was fine, I am concerned about the actual hook breaking off or pulling out of the fiberglass. Wonder if 450lbs is too much to tow at 30-35 mph.

The police that they have out here wouldn't care if I did pull a three person tube as I do all there security equipment and other law enforcement agencies as well. Lol don't get tickets either.

I towed a 3 person tube (the big one that everyone has their own seat) with 3 girls all probably about 105-115 lbs and had zero issues.

Sweet that's what I was wondering. I don't want to rip my hook off. Prolly won't do 3 but 2 larger people in a 3 seater. Mucho gracias

I pull 2 adults and many times 2 younger kids in a huge 3 seater no issues...quiet lake in Northern Ontario Canada so no police to worry about plus second three seater out with us...hopefully that counts if they are out there...
