Solas 14/21 impeller 300x
If I was to buy the 14/21 solas impeller from the online site here in greenhulk will I for sure get the right pitch cuz I've read threads of ppl getting pitch wrong sizes. Also is the 14/21 good?

Impellers are made with pitch blocks which should make them identical from the factory.
The confusion happens because peoples impeller pitch gauges vary and their techniques they use to measure these impellers vary.
So one guy may read it as a 13/20, another a 14/22 and another a 14/21 and hence the rumors that their impellers are not a true 14/21, etc.
The fact of the matter is they are all a true 14/21 from the factory based on the factory's pitch blocks/gauges.

That's not the case in reality Jerry.
I ran Corey's prop and my RPM's were down. Then I ran a /19 and got my RPM's back. Corey measured his prop and it was closer to a /23. I only suggested he measure it because of my RPM's. I then got a brand new 14/21. I measured it (only to get a rough guide). It measured 13/19 or there abouts on one blade, the other was roughly 14/20. I didn't bother measuring the third blade. The prop is good and RPM's what I expected.
My recommendation Andry. If you get one, measure it. If it measures on the high side /21+ get it repitched. If it's up near /23 it could be slower than your stock prop if you have a good stock prop.
Also, testing was done running next to Jim's ski (without changes being done to his). The difference was immediate and obvious.

Correct in the theoretical world of retail sales they SHOULD all be same pitch , But REAL world testing has shown a VER BIG difference in speed and RPM on the same boat all over the world ............But hey thats the the joy of mass production items
no different to every car that comes of the lot ,,,, they are all the same , and every car never has a fault because thats what the sale specs say

i have never touched my pitch only pump clearence with the new prop and im very happy i think you may have had other issues at the time mal lol

Yeah, hot weather. It's already winter down south isn't it
The clearance was probably a little more than expected, but that wouldn't have caused it to rev less. My stock was probably a touch quicker, and Jim's /19 was quicker again. It was super easy to tell when you run them next to another (unchanged) 300x.
I'm sure your ski is hauling now that the prop been rebuilt though.

Don't worry Jim, I'm spraying some Lanox on his supercharger belt when I see him next. That should slow the trouble maker down a bit.
