    550sx lost spark

Two days ago I cranked up the ski and everything was fine. Yesterday it wouldn't start, and I checked for spark... nothing. yesterday I also noticed the gasket around the electrical box was falling apart and I opened it up to replace the gasket. EVERYTHING in that box is rusted out. If I shorted out anything, I don't know how I would even fix it without breaking something else. Should I buy a new ebox? I know nothing about electrical troubles on motors. This ski is new to me.

If the entire electrical unit is corroded, I'd just replace it. Maybe post some pics to see what you're dealing with? Verify that it's the actual electrical unit before you start buying parts though. There's a chance you'll replace that thing and it still won't get spark (not likely but it DOES happen).

If box is bad try John Zigler Rock County Jetski for used parts. He is reliable, trustworthy, and prompt and runs his business like a business. On his site he has pics with prices of parts and if not pictured lob him an e-mail.
