What would you do?
"I have a 1995 Seadoo XP 2 seater that has a new motor in it but have no title to it. Will take $275 OBO" Ad on a local website in my area. Don't know what to think about the no title situation. What would you do?

Good for parts. Don't think they will fit your SLT though.....

Id definitely call on it and ask why it doesn't have a title....I have encountered "no title" several times before where it just meant that it never got transfered or was signed by the previous owner, etc, etc....either way, they should have a reasonable explanation to ensure that it isn't stolen. You can also check with the DMV and run the reg. numbers...

Buy it before someone else does

So I finally called the guy and his grandmother was the original owner and she passed away I think. I told him I would just have to get him to apply for another title and he said that would be fine. I told him I would pay for it. Once that takes place and it comes in all he has to do is sign it over to me and I'll take care of the rest. The remaining story is that Sea Doo put the new engine in 2 years ago and it's in great shape he says.......... No picture on line. So........... I think I'm going to take a chance and buy it. I have 1 ski on a dual ski trailer so I have somewhere for it to go. Then he tell me that he has a trailer that goes with it and he'll take $250. Sounds like it's too good to be true! I'll let you know!

Well I own it now. He took $250 and I left the trailer without a wheel on it cause when I purchased my 95 slt 750 it came with a dual ski trailer with the right side converted to a platform for a 4-wheeler. .So now I will be changing that to a dual ski trailer cause now I have 2 skis!
Don't know what I might have gotten off into here as this ski will need much more attention then my first one did. Moving this thread to SeaDoo section and seeing what I can discover with this one. If you know anything about these all info would be helpful as I've been drowning in Polaris for the last 2 months and I'm kinda switching gears now that I've got that one down.

Is that really a 95?

That's a 1992. Looks like a waste of time to me. Not much market for that ski, the motor in it, or the parts.
Very outdated and underpowered ski.
The fact that someone wrote "stiffy" on it is also concerning.

A SL 650 of some sort would have been a better choice. If that was actually a 95 then you would have something.
