    how far off are speedometers?

So the last couple of days I gave gotten to take out my 13 fx ho. I do not have a gps yet and was wondering how far off do people find there speedometers to be? 0-5mph or so is what I am thinking and understand that this could/does change from ski to ski. Yesterday with a full tank of gas and me and girlfriend we could hit 63 fairly easy with the trim in the neutral position, today with just me on it and almost a full tank of gas I could hit 65 once again with trim in the neutral position. I positioned the trim one click down to raise the bow a little and it seemed to hit 65 even easier and could probably get another 2 mph if I would have stayed in it longer, or at least I felt like I could. I feel like these seem like good numbers off from a speedo on a ski with just 1.5 hrs... What do you guys think?

On My FZR it was about 5 mph off. It indicated that stock I was running 70 mph and it was actually running 65.6. Verified the real speed with my Garmin 78 .

well im assume it depends on how tight the speedo wheel under the ski is, but my 03 gp1300r will say anywhere from 68-75mph (number bounces alot). while in reality the
    gp1300r is rated at 64.5mph.

with my new riva ride plate and d-plate im hoping for 67!

I have the R&D plate and mine is almost exactly 5 MPH off. Now I just use my GPS for speed.

Wow, I thought people would say even more. I haven't used a gps yet, but did touch 70 mph on the speedo during my break in run. Seemed to still have more left and I did have nice cold air and water.

Yeah i was thinking i was prob around 60-61 when it was saying 65 which would make since because i think i could have a squeezed a couple more out of her which would put it right on par to its expected 62-63 speed that boat test.com says it does..I'm just going to have to buy a gps to see what it really is
