92 XP Worth my while?
NOT! New to greenhulk as I've been working on a 95 Polaris SLT 750 for the past 2 months (my first ski however) but I am new to the world of SeaDoo! I just purchased a running (with starter fluid) 92 SeaDoo XP. Take a look at the pictures and point out anything you see as off. According to the owner the engine was replaced by SeaDoo a couple of years ago. Find that hard to believe but ok. I will admit it sounds ok when it does fire. Anyway the inside of the hull looks clean and there has been some tinkering with the carbs as I can tell. Not sure where the FA's are either. Like I said never looked at a Rotax engine before so I don't know what it should look like. With the shape of the hull and possibility of getting everything lined out inside I figure I got a good deal for $250. You be the judge!

Judging by the response to my thread so far...... (NONE) I'm not getting as much help as I did with my Polaris. So I'm guessing I'm going to be on my own with this one. I guess I'll figure my way through this and update to share with anyone that may be thinking about doing what I'm doing or maybe not......

The motor looks newer, if it was a full replacement. I would check compression and stop running it on starter fluid. Check oil injection or do premix. Change fuel lines and go thru the carbs real good.
