Siphon Delete & Intake Grate Mods

    Hi Guys,

I tried searching, but cannot find any info on the so called siphon delete mod. Can some one shed some light on the best way to complete or if its worth it. I was thinking about installing a bilge pump and hooking it to the factory siphon hose. I would disconnect the hose from the pump nozzle.

I was also wondering about the intake grate. Any tips for grinding the bars to a knife edge?

This is for a f15x if it makes any difference

    Thanks,
    Neal

Siphon delete is worth some acceleration and top end . 3%+gain
Can't remember the grate mods tho.
The siphon will just pull out with some effort and use some steel pudy to fill it in . grind inside of nozzle smooth as possible to get maximum gains

you can't use the siphon line for a bilge pump outlet because the end of that siphon by pump is in a vac........it might work but you would need a check valve and a way to enlarge the outlet so the pump can flow the 550 gal a hr.......that pump will need atleast 5/8" line and outlet.

you can add a bilge pump in addition to the siphon.....as added insurance......there is no gain by removing the siphon system, the Honda Hull is pretty dry.......always good to have a electric pump in ocean riding

removing the siphon is a good thing ( better acceleration and 1.5/2 mph faster ) don't remove the bars on the intake grate just sharp them . go for a ride plate mod it beater than the 5 degree wedge
