01 GP1200R with PV's Bogging.
Having bogging trouble's when accelerating my 01 GP 1200R from idle to higher rpm's (somewhere around 2k to 5k). Cranks and idles fine and once you feather the throttle a couple seconds through the lower rpm's it opens up and takes off. If you stop and floor it again it does fine but if you stop and idle a few seconds (20 or more) it bogs again until you feather the throttle.
Bought this 2001 GP1200R (with PV's) for $1000 with a blown middle cylinder and as far as I know it was completely stock except for the D-plate and chip. Sent engine to PWC engines for a short block. Went through all carbs replacing all diaphragms, filters and check valves. The springs that came with the kit were silver but it had copper colored springs in the carbs so I left them in. When I went through carbs I did not mess with the accelerator pump. The carb kit was an aftermarket kit and after reading on this site that probably was not a good idea!!!! But anyhow there in and if I can fix without having to change that would be great. I also replaced all reeds and removed the oil injection system. I mix 40:1 as per PWC Engines.
1. Was there any adjustments I should have made after removing the oil injection? (Besides fixing oil level indicators and capping oil intake lines on carb.)
2. What color springs and what size jets should be in carbs?
Any help is appreciated

Carbs are most likely the culprit and most will tell you only mikuni kits should be used, Ive seen other that didnt and ran fine ...... make sure to read you plugs

Thanks for the reply Smokes, I figured it was the carbs but just not sure where to start. I was thinking to start with the accelerator pump since this is the only part of the carbs I didnt mess with during the rebuild. Checking the pop off pressure would be my next check. Are there any mods I needed to make after removing the oil injection? What color springs and what size jets should be in carbs?

To me the one on the left looks kinda lean and the other two look fine for 40:1 but maybe its the light angle, does it look way different from the other two.
Nice tester by the way

They all looked identical. I pulled the fuel sending unit, and my flapper is good. Should I do anything to this while its out?

I tossed the flapper and kept the screen when i had my 12r they known for warping and blow out the lines and check everthing

Done! Flapper removed.
Before I had a chance to test pop off I noticed my PV motor was not turning on start up nor when you kill it. Took it off and did the Jumper test (as per manual) and nothing. Whats the chance this is my problem? Can you run the ski without the PV motor?
