    Diy fuel cut defender

Hi guys found this online and thought I would give it a try. Works like a charm!!! Anyone with a soldering iron can build this thing. And it is dirt cheap to build. All the stuff was only 63 Rand/ $ 6 Just change the 2 resistors circled with red to 1K resistors. That gives a clamp voltage of 3.77V, fuel cut happens @ 3.84V on my ski.

nice man so are you tricking the ECU to let you run more boost or what?

Thanks Boost.Yes that is exactly what it does. It will read the boost level as it climbs but will not go past 3.77V no matter how much boost you’re running. So no more limp mode!! I’m bleeding air of @ the wategate actuator to up the boost.

Def be careful with that.....that motor will go boom, make sure you run a rising rate regulator, and. Monitor A/F......the max you can get with that turbo is 18psi.......after that its a dragon........def will need a intercooler also

I’m busy with so many mods at this stage. I have a big ass IC that needs to be modified, water/meth kit and I’m still busy installing the wideband Innovate MTX-L and boost gauge.

is this for the 12 or 15 ? the 15 is clamping at 3,84 volt ? i have try clamping f15x whit turbosmart unit and it goes crazy lean , have to raise the fuel pressure , not good for mid range / fuel economy so i remove everything . will try again this summer by adding fuel whit more injector controlled by a prologuer box . the added injector must quick in wen the fuel cut defender happen at 10 psi . still have to do my homework on this set up , it not done wet

It is for the 12x, but the voltage clamp is completely variable all you need to do is change is the 2 resistors circled in red. I’m going to run water/meth to keep the AFR in check.

Kool nice to see someone else fooling with these skis.

As for the 15x u need to clamp both map sensors to keep it from limp mode but yes when u up the boost with either ski it will be dangerously lean .
Mac uses the overbuilt Honda motor as his insurance policy.
Rick , the Hondas have a rising rate fuel regulator on the ski stock ( I've looked without success for a 1:1.5 ratio regurlator . with no luck ... But that would be the ticket for a simple ,affective, reliable mod

It’s because you have done all the R&D and paid all the school fees. For me it is easy monkey see monkey do LOL! I will do some of my own R&D. I think after this setup is up and running a turbo upgrade is on the table.
