    riva ride plate..

i got a nice lead on a new riva ride plate from a buddy of mine.. he sold his 4tec and stayed with his 2 strokes..

120 bucks hell sell me the ride plate for and its brand new in the box...

my question is.. is it worth it? will i see an improvement in handling and top speed with my current set up?? (riva intake, free flow, 4 inch intake)

also how hard is it to swap out ride plates... my guts telling me its a little more then just 6 bolts.. as i hear someting about bottle jacks and such...

Well for a start. If you have a 4tec, you will need to go Open Loop cooling to make the Riva Ride work.

That certainly isn't just a simple bolt over.

You can also use a heat exchanger with this rideplate also..open loop is not your only option,BUT if you plan on running this plate you will have to modify your cooling system...

When done right, you get a solid jump in speed and better handling...HX all the way.

The plate works good if your not having to turn hard.
Drag - wot, performs well in rough water.
I am closed loop with riva plate.

you could always just fill in the ride-plate holes. Its cheap and works.
