    change before break in?

2012 rxpx with 3 hours on it. should i change the oil now, or wait till 10 hours then change it? oil is a year old inside. (2012) it was stored in a heated garage all winter.

Since you brought it up, it is a concern to you so change it out. It is only 3.3 qts and a filter. Depending on your location you can get condensation in the oil from just sitting for long periods.

Put some Amsoil 10-40 WCF in it and let her rip!

If the original oil I would definitely change it.
Personally if a motor is broke in properly, the oil can be changed at 3 hours and not the 10 but that's just how I roll.

What will it hurt if you do? Most change at the beginning of every season regardless. If nothing else, do oil only. I would still continue the break in for the remaining hours and change oil and filter at 10 hours.

For 2012 and newer, the 10 hour is no more..It is now a 25 hour oil change
