    Ultra 300 trim issue

My trim is only working in the top half of th range. When it gets to neutral wher we have to let off then re push the button it does not even click like it wants to try but will work great both up and down in the upper range. Electrical is not my thing so any help would be appreciated.

There are sensors in the trim unit that tell it where it is, it could be as simple as one was shaken loose or is out of place.

You would need to open the motor housing.

Thank you Waz. Our next race is a Surf race and will need the trim working for sure.

The trim units are non rebuildable or serviceable for the very reason mentioned above. Sucks but you prob need a new trim unit and there not cheap. What happens is if you adjust the rod to much it extends the motor past where it wants to go or sometimes it just gets stuck. Mine went out all together. Luckily was still under warranty at the time. If you have rough water race and trim does not work set it at neutral or slightly up position by adjusting the rod.

It is still working through the whole upper half of the range. I just need it to finish this season.
Thank you for the input Tommy.

My ultra 300x trim stopped working.
I tested the switch and checked if it had power to the switch.
I opened the trim box and tested the motor with a seperate power source and it worked.( the motor is like a window motor from a car )
I eventually removed the sensor on top of the motor and noticed the arm of the sensor had come off at the point where it connects to the motor.so the trim was showing that it was in the up postion and it would not let the motor operate.
The arm was a little bent and the way the cables were run didn't help it.
I wish I read this reply earlier.
