Protec CDI, Power valve controller and power valve motor. $450 shipped obo
The OEM CDI has been proven to be the most reliable CDI available. That is why we have been working so hard to develop the new rev limiter modification for the XLT 1200, XL1200 LTD, GP1200R, GP1200, RA1100, GP800 and GP760 CDIs. Our modification will increase the rev limit to a fixed level of 8100 RPM. This is necessary for all limited class racers using engine modifications that are restricted from using after market ignition systems. This modification is also useful for serious recreational riders with engines that are held back by the stock rev limiter.
Pro-Tec has just completed what should be considered a must for all Yamaha GP1200R and XL1200 LTD with any level of modification to their engine. Our new Adjustable Power Valve Controller can be set to eight different settings between 4650 and 6250 RPM and, the controller will not shut the valves at high RPM as the stock system does. The OEM servo closes the valve at 7400 RPM which could be devastating for a competition engine. The Pro-Tec Controller completely opens the valves between 150 and 200 RPM. The OEM controller is slower taking 800 RPM to open the valves, then closes the valve at 7400 RPM.
Ready to plug in and go!!! will send instructions with it.
