No click sounds like solenoid not closing.

Can you bypass that and send battery power directly to the starter?

Does the crank turn by hand?

Is it sparking continuously when you touch the + - to the batt? If so, then you have a short.

My ski would only click when I depressed the start/stop button. I found out the starter bearing went out. Replaced and all is well.

    The Yamaha forums?

Its hard to behave myself on a Friday...

Turning over a V-8 and a two cylinder engine are two different tasks. Unlike a car, the PWC does not have a large heavy duty solenoid on the starter. Typically the starter is just a small DC motor on a gear reduction box so there is no audible solenoid click. The gears may be stripped out in the starter's gear reduction box and the small DC motor may just be free spinning. I would start with a meter and see what the voltage on the battery is. Then, if the voltage was at least 11.5V I would check to see if you are getting power to the starter.
