    NEW NUMBERS FOR TheDome

The Dago Racing Crew (don't take us too seriously) has been working relentlessly on the Single Pipe 1390. The impeller housing was out of spec. so we changed it. This would have been a simple project but salt water had taken its toll on two of the transom bolts. They broke off. We had to install a new transom, and pump plug kit. We also installed a 85mm nozzle.

TheDome hit 79.6 with an 800 grate and 78.6 with a 1200 grate. The 800 grate needs to be cleaned up with a dremel. It sticks out further than the sides of the shoe and does not bolt up level at all. Before we changed the impeller housing his RPM's were 7480 running in the 77-78 mph range. He is now turning 7360 running in the 79 mph range. When the 800 grate gets trued up I feel he will hit 80, and with some holes filled hopefully 81. I still think is RPM's are too high. The prop is a 15/24. He also has a buck now, right around the 78-79 mark. We still have some work to do but things are looking up.

TheDome had not ridden in over a month. It was a sight to see this 5'7" Dago crouched down on this big nasty beast. The best part was the grin on his face after a few 79+ runs.

Just in case you you guys didn't see it in the other post, I want to send a big thanks to WFO (Richard) and RX951 (Billy) for all of the phone conversation and help to get me there, without you guys I would still be wrenching. I would also like to thank my partner in crime 97GPSLEEPER for all of the late nights spent in my shop and also the technical knowledge to complete the the project. Brandon you were right.... I feel like a little spider monkey when I am mounted up an that bad beast.
