    2014 models, Any idea when?

dumb question but I am debating if I should spend more money on my ski or wait for the 2014 models to come out. Its been long enough on the FZR/FZS models so my guess is a new one or improvements should be seen on the 14 model. Any ideas? Thanks

yes, i'd also like to know if the fzr/fzs will be getting improvements like the fly-by-wire throttle and the newer styled motor shroud and chrome yamaha logos before i purchase a 2013 model.
    Thankyou

Yamaha usually releases their new jetskis in August, so I would say you'll have to wait till then to know for sure.

I am not so sure about that Big John. The "SHO" models are already at the USCG speed limit; and are doing it with relatively low boost and 87 octane. To get a huge jump in HP, they will have to up the Boost and likely go to a 91 octane platform. One of the main reasons I am on Yamaha's is because they are 87 octane and "reliable". I hope Yamaha stays away from "Ultraville"!

I have been on both sides of the fence. It's worlds better where I am now. JB

i agree, but the kawi 300 is also still limited to the same USCG agreements, but its least to faster skis with less mods, even doo's 260hp models only do 68 outta the box, numbers sell !!!!! if yamaha advertises a 280hp or greater model people will be all over it !!!!!!!!! its coming it 2014,

If they crank up the power they will need a better pump. But I'm not sure they will play the numbers game with the other companies.

I suppose a governor would be in order if they had a sizeable HP increase..

I agree with the better pump as well, they need that as it is IMO..
