    excess oil in exhaust

i have a 1200r and i started up the other a week or so ago after sitting over the winter and i noticed alot of oil coming out of the exhaust port and puddling on the ground. also it seemed like the engine was loadind up while on the hose. i waited about a week later and tried ti again and same thing oil coming out of exhaust port, but this time engine did not load up like the first time. ski idled and ran good on the hose. has anybody had a similar situation with there ski and what did you find out?

It could be the fogging oil that is used to winterized it

hey you got something there, i just remembered that last year when winterizing i did not have any of the regular spray fogging oil and used some of the premix oil in a squirt can instead. must have been all the oil in the cylinders blowing out cause the third time i ran it the exhaust has cleared up to normal. thanks for the help.

That would do it. Any ratio past 32:1 will not burn completely.

i would also suggest that next time i would not use anything but fogging oil to winterize your ski. regular oil for running the engine is not made to be used for winterizing. that is probably your problem and should burn off after a tank or two of fuel

i am curious to know why because since the premix oil is there to lubricate the engine, rings etc it shuld be good enough for storage over the winter months. does the fogging have different properties than the premix?
