Gasket thickness help!
1995 waveblaster-single carb
Bought 1/32 thick fiber gasket sheet from auto parts store. (good for fuel/oil/water applications) Making gaskets for reed valve, intake manifold cover, carb base and air cleaner base. Although the gasket that were on the reed valve and intake manifold cover seemed to be thinner, can I use 1/32 thick material instead? I also see the carb base gasket is THICKER than 1/32. Can I use the 1/32 for the carb base and air cleaner base?
I also may use a very thin coat of Halomar gasket sealant to have gaskets adhere /seal better.
So--Does gasket thickness matter in these areas?

The only place it would really matter is the base gasket. If you still have a stock head you have plenty of clearance anyway. It will be just fine.
