Mechanical Boost Gauge .... Do I Need To Drill The Intake Or What

  4. #4
I'm in the same situation and after reading numerous threads about mechanical boost gauges, Do I pick one of these locations to drill? I'm still using the stock intercooler and I just want to be sure. Thanks.

what size of drill bit needs to be used for a boost gauge on intake runner. Does it have to be threaded after drilled out?
I am wanting to run my rude fuel reg boost line to block off, and want to run my boost gauge to intake runner.

    thanks for any comments

a small bit that will fit in the nipple and is not wider. The boost gauge hose will fit over the nipple so as long as there is a hole for a reading you should be good.

your other option if running an external intercooler is put the compression fitting in the intercooler block off plate. This is a clean install also, I did it about a month ago and it worked great.
