    Question GPR 1300R low idle

    Hello ,

I'm racking my brain trying to help figure out a low idle issue with my friends newly purchased 2004 Gpr 1300... I found that the throttle cable was pulled/adjusted keeping throttle open...I.E they using the throttle cable adjustment to overide stepper motor, and adjusting the idle... Borrowed laptop tool and found multiple codes, including code for stepper motor ...Keep T/S code which lead to finding corrision withing the main harness connector. Cleaned corrision, verifed connectors still good removed corrision, Deoxed the connector, applied diaelectric grease and reassembled. We re-adjusted throttle cable properly... All codes cleared, and stepper motor apperas to be working. However we have very low idle, Engine idles at 700 to 850 RPM without controller connected...If you connect controller the idle dropped to 600/ 750.... Any suggestions on what might be keeping idle low... Compression is good....

there is a good chance someone mess with the adjusters. each has its own adjuster.
