Recommendation for a good valve to use as a tow-valve in the main jet-pump feed?

Anyone have a part number for an easy to install valve for this purpose?

    Would plastic valves be sufficient?

    Thanks!

I am thinking the new SLX may get towed more places behind the cruiser since it is likely to be a bit more playful.

Any other thoughts on towing a ski behind a cruiser at cruising speeds?

    Thanks!

I'll stop by depot and get some materials.

I once towed a catamaran a good long ways, and it wanted to swing side to side bad. We dropped the mast and the extra drag that added at the rear straightened it up nicely. I wonder if something dragging behind the ski would also help to keep it tracking? Maybe tie the daughters donut tube to the back of the ski.

Tow rope length can make a huge difference. All depends on how the tow boat's wash pattern plays out.

You may need a REALLY long rope to get a stable tow, or a really short rope. Long ropes get complicated if you need to stop and the rope floats towards the tow boat prop area. Hence the use of floats, pool noodles, etc to keep the rope out of trouble.

An even easier solution is just to make someone ride the ski instead of towing it.
