    Help! Electrical Problem

Hey guys. I'm having a problem with my 07 RXP. I started it for the first time this year last weekend and everything worked perfectly. I pulled it out of the shed yesterday to change the oil and it was deader than a doornail. I bought the battery at the end of the season last year and it's been on a tender all winter so I know it's good. I got it charged back up most of the way today and hooked it back up. Without the key in it you can hear something pulse in the front end that sounds like the fuel pump. It sounds like the pump turns on for a second every 10-15 seconds. I pulled the 10a fuel pump fuse and it quit so I'd say that this caused the battery to die. Any ideas what could cause this? I'd appreciate any help. The closest shop that works on these is an hour and a half away so I'd like to fix it myself. Thanks, Chris

    Bad dess post.
It's acting like the key is on it when its not.
    A very common thing.

When a dess post takes a dump its like a ghost got into your ski.
It can turn on guages, fuel pump, beepers, starter..
So when a dess dumps its not always going to do the same things.

I think there is a thread on dess replacement in here some where.

    Get R DONE..

I did some more investigating on it tonight. About every 12 seconds or so it acts as if you plugged the key in. The display comes on and the fuel pump primes. I got a new dess post coming so I'll let you know what happens. Thanks again for the help. I would've been chasing this for quite a while without it.
