    Stereo system

Hey there just a quick question, would this amp work, with out draining my battery? The max power it draws is 3 amps, which is what a bilge pump would draw. And where would I have to hook it up, straight to the battery or bilge fuse?

    Thank you.

not sure about the battery drain, but I would definitly look for something marine rated. otherwise it might not last very long...

It's a motorcycle amp, so it's good with shock and what not, and I'm looking to put a real pair of marine speakers in it that I can hear at higher speeds. I tried all these different portable speaker things, and they're not really my taste. So would it leave me stranded lol?

If you're going to buy a small amp for a ski, get this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It is a better brand and comes with a decent warranty.

Thank you that does look better, and back to my original question, how's the power consumption? Will it Kill the battery and leave me stranded?

I have mine setup so that it will only run when the ski is turned on, so I can't say that it will kill your battery really. I have run my ski with a small amp for over a year now and have never had any starting issues. If you are thinking about have it on while your ski is off, then I would think about adding another small battery and running a battery isolator and relay (similar to this: http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...mpaign=froogle ). That way both batteries will charge and you won't ever have to worry about killing your main battery.

I also plan to only have it run while engines running, what size amp and battery do you have and where did you connect it? Straight to the battery, or did you run a signal line too on the accessory fuse ?

I am using the amp I recommended to you. I ran constant 12v to the battery w/ fuse inline, ground to the battery, and tapped into a remote turn on wire (any switched power source) so when the key is in, the amp turns on.
