A flat bottom boats are really cheap and good for fishing. I used to have one with a 20hp motor, that thing could fly, literally. I flipped my once, the nose got a little too much height and went on over.

Andy; Boston whaler's are great. Take a look at the 16' model. They are pricy, but hold their value better than anything else.

That is sweeet!, but I can`t do nutso ... I`m hoping the wife can go out fishing and enjoy a smoother type ride, she just doesn`t know it yet, hee hee...
I also have to make it affordable, very affordable. I really took a beating with my POS ski all last year and continues into this one. it will end soon tho!...PR...

My `75 19' Southwind. All you ned is a shortblock 460. I have DOVE heads and an Edelbrock performer ( brand new) I`ll throw in. Oh yeah, and a distributor and 750 for carb. I have the rest. Interior brand new and boat sprayed white Imron. Alpine, 2 amps, Berkley JC worked.

Are you interested in anything like the bass-trackers combos sold at bass pro shops? (they have a higher end version that would have hold an 85 hp easy)

I had one of the smaller packages about a decade ago. it was a stick drive, but great for just plain old fishing. I think it only had about a 30 hp OB, but I got it used fairly cheap. One of those things I never wanted to sell, but just didnt have room to keep it anymore.

Probably not ideal for straight up cruising like a ski boat.
