    Active Captain/eBoatcards.com

There's a new social site, a lot like Facebook but for boating. It's called eBoatCards.com. There's an app so you can see where your friends are while on the water, for meet ups and what not. Its associated with active captain. If you're not familiar it is a great site for the guys who like to explore. It has review from fellow boaters of local ramps, marinas, bars, hazards, anchorages and anything else you can think of. I joined both recently. The eBoatCards just launched yesterday and are running a friend contest to boost membership. Check it out http://eBoatCards.com/. Chris

Does it cost anything to join ActiveCaptain? seems pretty neat.

And I'm right next to you - I ride out of Forked River.

Nope it's all free. Where in Forked River? I grew up in Sunrise Beach, and still keep my boat at my parents house. Just picked up a 750zxi to use as a shuttle while over at Tices, but have had a few stand ups and a Polaris over the years. I really miss my 750sx. Chris

I just signed up - I'll have to fiddle around with it. I'll be at Tices on Saturday. Where do you usually tie up?

We used to raft up just a bit south of the path about 100 yards or so from the shore. Not so sure this year, I haven't been out yet. I heard that there is quite a bit of sand from the island that got washed into the bay so you can't get the boats in as close. My boat needs about 4' of water so I'll have to do some investigating. Days when we bring our small boats out we raft up more on the north side of the path for easier access to go rip up towards seaside. Chris
