Clamping Oil Lines in favor of Premix ??

I am not 100 % sure that I want to run premix but I would like to try it. With that being said, I don't want to remove and/or disable my oil injection system until I decide.............. so my question is this. Would it be safe to say that I could clamp/restrict the supply line from the bottom of the tank while I dabble with the premix? Ultimately leaving the system in tact?

The oil also lubes the pump and running the pump dry could cause it to fail....maybe

Go to advanced and get a 3 sided T and plug all the lines in to the T and put in the vent at the top of the oil tank where the other line from the pump plugs in. The oil will just circulate back into the oil tank no cutting or splicing. The T is plastic and made for the tiny vacuum lines on cars.

If you clamped the lines well I would not worry. Have converted a few boats to premix, and the XLL and GPR I did were a mistake. You will use alot more oil, and smoke more too. The PV motors have a throttle control to the oil pump which cuts back on oil at low speeds and idle, and the oil pumps themselves are very reliable.
The older Raiders and Ventures were a great boat to convert because they had no throttle control and pumped way to much oil, especially at idle. These boats actually ran better, had less pump fouling, and used less oil use on Premix.
