Hi everyone im comming down to the last steps in completing this project. Before first start i wanted to know if i should put a light coating of 2 stroke oil onto the pistons so they dont jam up. I also need a wireing diagram for a 1994 polaris sl650 i cant seem to find out how it goes exactly and i even have the clymer manual! Thank you everyone for all of your help through this project. I hope when its complete it fires up!!!

ahahahahah!!!! i feel more confident now! The only thing im stuck on is where does the double o black wire that comes from the stator screw to on my electrical box? And does anyone have any pics of an open sl650 electric box so i can compare to see if mine is correct? And last question. Should the engine hard to turn? Theres certain parts of the turning that are more diifficult then others just turning it by hand. Thanks for the help

Correct. Without the plugs in, it should spin freely.

The ring terminal on the black wire from the stator harness bolts to the coil retainer mounting stud on the CDI half of the box, while the spade terminal plugs onto the circuit board marked for the black or ground wire. This wire provides the only ground from the battery to both sides of the ebox. Nothing will function properly without both of these in place....

Post a pic of yours and we'll let you know if anything looks out of place....
