Welcome to the Hulk! You can read a ton of information on Polaris skis including regular maintenance and upgrade items here: http://polarispwcknowledge.shorturl.com/

How much is it going for??

    Welcome

CrazyA is probably more correct that some of us might like.

It sounds like that particular machine would be a major project to get running properly. Are you are interested in a major engine project, with an unusual engine and generally expensive parts?

Welcome. I will say it because no-one else will..... NO, you should NOT buy it.
I'm not trying to dawg anyone that has one or likes them, but you should avoid the Polaris 4-strokes.

    hi guy`s
it`s on ebay for the 2nd time and it sold for $1700.00 aud
but looks like the buyer backed out so its up again.
i`ve looked at all the info on the web and are undecided
are they a money pit? or do i buy yamaha, seadoo etc
don`t think there`s many polaris parts in australia any more
it`s a nice looking ski but don`t spend all my time and money
    fixing this thing.

Once you get it running well, owners generally like them and get rather good fuel economy.

Getting a broken Weber engine back into good running shape is not simple or inexpensive, even if you do the work yourself.

Exactly. Run, don't walk, from a broken (arguably a running one too) Weber powered Polaris PWC.

So in your option whats it worth?
I think the yamaha is looking better

Just looking at the ad and it says new turbo but has a rattle and blows smoke
compression is 110 & 80 so it sounds like piston or rings
someone said it might be a stuck valve from the salt water but that sounds wrong
sorry to keep going on about this

Honestly? To me? Nothing. I would not buy one period, unless I was looking for just a hull to do some type of conversion ski. By all means buy it and fix it. I just think you'll wind up spending much more than you think in the long run, even at the cheap selling price.
