Would you buy these Bunk Glides for your PWC trailer?

We are in the process of setting up to cut and build bunk glides for boat and PWC trailers here at our shop. For the PWC trailers, I will be using 3" x 16" x .5" HDPE plastic. They will have countersunk holes and come with (4) stainless steel mounting screws. They can be mounted directly over top of your wooden bunks.

Out of curiosity, would you guys be interested in these at $5.50 each? Typical PWC trailer would take 6 pieces and doubles would take 12

These make loading and unloading 60%-80% easier than carpeted bunks.

Nope. Are carpeted bunks that much of a hassle?

I'm sure there would be a market for them. Curious why on 16"? Shipping consideration?

UPS will ship up to 8 feet in length. My bunks are probably almost 6 feet long on my trailer. I like my bunks long to protect the back of the ski if I get rear ended with the ski hooked up. I have about 1 inch of reverse bucket hanging past my bunks and will probably make them a little longer on my next rebuild. Great idea, just don't know how well they will sell at that length. Any chance of longer ones?

I have had sandy bunks put light bs scratches in the bottom of some of the black hulls on skis.
Wouldn't these plastic gliders do the same thing with sand on them???

On my previous trailer I replaced my rear carpeted bunks with 1/2 " Teflon(4X12) It seemed to glide much easier on the Teflon and sand was not a problem. Im sure with "softer" plastics sand could become embedded in the plastic causing scratches.

I would think the plastic would be hard on the gel coat if your trailering any distance. Road debris could bounce up in ther good and scratch the hull. Carpet is more forgiving.
