    RXT-260 stage1 question

Hi, I just installed a Riva stage1 on my 2012 rxt-260... Running at 71mph @7860rpm... VTS one notch below top...

Is this normal... Is the rpm too low?

Yes you are down some rpm and should be banging all over the 8040 rpm limiter. Do you have all the Stage 1 components like SCOM, Solas 15/20, etc??
What is your location? A hot day, high humidity, low barometric pressure (< 30.00") can kill 100-200 rpm easy.
Are all these items fresh: fuel, plugs, oil & filter? Oil level at or below top bend?
If all these items are perfect then Solas pitch needs to be checked.

SCOM, 15/20R, catch-can and sponsons ... The air intake is not yet installed...

It was not hot ~22C degree, water temp 60F degree... It was humid ... Fresh 94octane gaz ... Oil level is between two bars and was changed before storage last winter... Plugs (same as last year) ... Just had the 100hours tuneup last year before storage for the winter also ...

Wright here is a big part of your problem. The air intake helps the SCer breath and provides RPM's 100-200rpm may be on par. Pull your intake manifold and remove the flame arrestor.

I see 2 issues. You need 4" air to let that sucker breath properly and you should install new plugs. It is very common for plugs to foul after winterization.

What intake grate? When I switched from my iS grate to either my Worx or RD, I was running about the same rpm. Had to reduce pitch on my prop. Not sure if there's much of a difference between your stock and aftermarket grates. The iS is different.....and dangerous past 72mph.

Stay with the stock NGK plugs. They are very GOOD! I get mine at oreally's for under$8 for all 3.
