    Camshaft plugs

I lost mine down in engine.......from back side of camshaft....both intake and exhaust.......what has to be done to properly fix this issue? I was riding pretty fast and oil light came on and oil came out breather, I don't think the motor is hurt, but want to know should I tear it down, had metal flake in oil filter....very mild

remove the cams, tap the holes with a 1/4 npt tap, reclean the cams and loctite some 1/4 npt plugs in there they are the same plugs used in most all big and small block motors, uses a 1/4 allen to install

Thanks Big John....I'm going to try to get the pieces out with a magnet......then if I can get the plugs out I will inspect SC for damage......if I don't retrieve them well I'll have to pull this motor and drop oil sump pan and clean it out there and inspect everything......

Make sure you mark where the chain is on the cam gears to make sure you get them back in the same position after installing the plugs. I know when we did a set we actually used some zip ties to keep things from moving. I need to do mine as well out of an abundance of caution!
