    Exhaust Stinger Bolts

I am in the process of removing the stinger exhaust in a 2001 Yamaha 1200 xlt. I have all connectors and bolts removed except for the 4 bolts that are holding the stinger to the heads. These bolts are the ones that also mount the grease hose and the lifting rings. They are extremely tight and I do not want to break them. Is it okay to add heat to these bolts in order to get them to release?

I used an impact on low air and they came right off.

Thanks. I used some heat and they came out with less force and threads look good. Now just a matter of wrestling the stinger out of the hull which is proving to be a real pain in the butt.
